Cold War Summative Assessment
Your summative assessment for the Cold War is an in-class essay on one of the following possible questions:
On the day of the assessment, one of the five possible essay questions will be chosen for you to complete. It will be advantageous for you to complete an outline for all five possible essays.
- Did the Cold War lead to an increase in exploitation/imperialism/colonization?
- Did the nuclear arms race create an increase in peace or conflict?
- Did the collapse of the Soviet Union signal the end of the Cold War?
- How did local populations respond to interference from the United States and the Soviet Union?
- What social, political, and economic factors caused an end of the Cold War?
