- According to the text, what is geography? What does it include? What are its traditions?
- How has the study of geography changed over time? Is it different today than it was 50 years ago? 1,000 years ago? Why or why not?
- The general thesis of the book which was published in 2012 is that "geography matters more than ever." Do you agree or disagree with this thesis? Explain your position providing a minimum of 3 reasons to support your assertion. Be sure to communicate clearly why and how geography does or does not matters more than ever.

B. After completing the activity above, open the attachment to the new syllabus (It is posted on the main page of our class website). On pages 14 and 15, the command terms are listed, sorted by the assessment objective they relate to. Record definitions for each of the command terms in your notebook (you may be quizzed on these during the next class).
C. During year 1 of the course, we will cover the HL/SL core (geographic perspectives-global change - pp.42-46) and one of the 7 geographic themes (pp.28-41). Review the 7 geographic themes and order them based on your personal interest (example Option G=1, Option A=2, etc). Be mindful that we must have a balance between physical and human geography.
